Museum digitization project 2016

With the aim of engaging audiences with Elmbridge Museum’s collection, we photographed our 2D watercolour and prints collection this summer. The images will be uploaded to our collection management system so that the public can freely view and search objects from Elmbridge Museum for their enjoyment and research.

I went through the collection, selecting pieces that would be suitable for digitization, that people would gain the most from having accessible online.

During the week of photography, the museum team and a professional photographer managed to unpack, photograph and repack over 800 items.
